General feature change

Way how to delete assets is slightly modified. Now in order to remove asset from MAC you need to assign "Deleted" status to the asset.

Modification in deleting assets process is needed in order to track all deleted assets.

1. General description of the modified flow

Now in order to delete assets from the system Content Editor/Content Manager needs to change status of the asset to "Deleted" (see how to do it in p.2 and p.3). 

Once status of the asset is changed to "Deleted":

  1. Content Editor/Content Manager can not edit asset.
  2. Asset is unpublished from MAL/CDN.
  3. Asset is not visible/available for all Users anymore.


2. How to delete assets from Library page in MAC 2.0

  1. Content Editor/Content Manager selects asset(-s)
  2. Content Editor/Content Manager clicks 'Delete' status button
  3. Notification "Assets status was successfully changed" appears. Asset(-s) is not available anymore for all Users. If Content Editor/Content Manager refreshes the page, asset(-s) will disappear.

Alternative flow

  • Content Editor/Content Manager clicks arrow on the asset. Dropdown with actions available to asset is displayed.
  • Content Editor/Content Manager clicks "Delete' status button 
  • Notification "Asset status was successfully changed" appears. Asset is not available anymore for all Users. If Content Editor/Content Manager refreshes the page, asset will disappear.

Note:

OLD Delete button is NOT displayed on Library page anymore

3. How to delete assets from Details page in MAC 2.0

  1. Content Editor/Content Manager clicks current status button in Details page. Dropdown with statuses available is displayed
  2. Content Editor/Content Manager selects "Delete" status
  3. "Deleted" status is assigned to the asset. Asset is not available anymore for all Users. Content Editor/Content Manager should close the page or return back to the Library page. 

Note:

Previously displayed "Delete" button in the bar under image is not available for Users any more.
